**Russell** (the "App") appropriately protects users' personal information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

## 1. Information We Collect

The App collects the following information to provide its services.

### 1-1. Information Provided Directly by the User
- Display name (username)
- Email address (only when signing up with email authentication)
- Profile photo (when optionally set)
- Playlist names and color settings
- Registered item information (title, subtitle, rating, notes, etc. for books, films, music, drinks, and diary entries)
- Diary text and attached images

### 1-2. Information Provided by Authentication Providers
- When using Sign in with Apple: a private relay email or real email address provided by Apple (depending on user selection)
- The display name in such cases (only if the user permits Apple to share it)

### 1-3. Automatically Collected Information
- User identifier (UID) issued by Firebase Authentication
- Account creation timestamp
- Basic device information associated with app usage (FCM registration token, notification permission status, etc.)
- Aggregated values of in-app activity (follow / follower / like / registered item counts, etc.)

## 2. Purpose of Use

We use the collected information only for the following purposes.

- Authentication and account management for the App
- Storage and display of collections registered by the user
- Provision of social features such as follows, likes, and comments
- Display of other users' profiles (display name, discs, registered items, etc.)
- Delivery of push notifications (follow, like, message, and announcement notifications)
- Prevention of inappropriate use, review and response to reports
- Service improvement and consideration of new features
- Compliance with legal obligations

## 3. Disclosure to Third Parties

We will not disclose the collected personal information to third parties except with the user's consent or as required by law.

However, the following services are essential to providing the App's functionality, and information is processed in accordance with each service provider's terms.

## 4. Publicly Visible Information

Because the App includes social features, the following information is visible to other users.

- Display name
- Profile photo
- Disc names, slice (playlist) names and colors
- Items registered to discs set to "Public"
- Aggregated values such as follow / follower / registered item counts

Private (Locked) discs are visible only to users in a mutual follow relationship.

Email addresses and account settings are not visible to other users.

## 5. Data Storage

User data is securely stored on Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore). Firebase holds SOC 1/2/3 certifications and ISO 27001/27017/27018 certifications, complying with industry-standard security requirements.

## 6. Data Retention Period

User data is retained for as long as the user maintains an account. When the account is deleted, associated personal information and registered content are, in principle, deleted promptly. Note that data may temporarily remain in system backups.

## 7. Data Deletion

The user may delete their account at any time from "Settings" → "Delete Account" inside the App, and all data associated with the user is completely deleted.

After deletion, the following cannot be restored:

- User profile
- All registered items
- Discs, slices, diaries
- Follow relationships
- Likes, comments

## 8. Notifications

The App delivers push notifications when events such as follows, likes, messages, or announcements occur. You can change whether notifications are received in the OS "Settings" app under the notification settings, and individually under "Settings" → "Notifications" inside the App.

## 9. Advertising

Free-plan users are shown ads through Google AdMob. Information handled in connection with ad delivery by AdMob is subject to Google's privacy policy.

Premium-plan subscribers are not shown ads.

## 10. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 13. If we learn that someone under 13 is using the App, we may delete the relevant account.

## 11. International Data Transfers

Data collected by the App may be stored and processed on servers located outside Japan via Google Firebase and Apple infrastructure. By using the App, you consent to cross-border data transfers.

## 12. Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be revised in response to changes in law or changes in the service. We will notify you in-app or by email of significant changes.
