Polaris (iOS / iPadOS, hereinafter “the App”) protects users’ personal information appropriately in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
Last updated: October 10, 2026
The App does not collect personally identifying information such as your name or email address.
To understand aggregate usage (such as the number of active users), the App uses only anonymous authentication via Firebase Authentication (Google LLC). When the app launches, a random, anonymous identifier (user ID) is generated, and your IP address is processed during the authentication request. This does not identify you personally and is not used for advertising or tracking.
Your settings — clock and sky designs, the selected city, language preference, and so on — are stored only on your device (and in an App Group used to share data between the app and its widgets). They are never sent to any external server.
If you delete the App, these settings are removed from your device as well.
The App uses Firebase Authentication (Google LLC) for the anonymous authentication described above. The anonymous identifier and your IP address are processed by Google solely to provide this authentication service (Google Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy). Apart from this, the App provides no user information to third parties.
It uses no advertising (such as Google AdMob) and no behavior-tracking analytics, and provides no information to advertising providers.
The App requests no permissions such as location, notifications, contacts, camera, or photos.
Because the App collects no personally identifying information and performs no external communication other than anonymous authentication, it can be used safely regardless of age.
This Privacy Policy may be revised in response to changes in laws or the service. For significant changes, we will notify you through the app’s update notes or similar means.
